Looking back at your preliminary task (the school magazine task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

Here is my finished front cover to my magazine, and this compared to my first college magazine is much better quality in many ways. One being that the picture quality and the way its been cut out on photoshop, is so much better quality and has more care taken on it.
I believe the first project (college magazine) looks abit 'tacky' and plain. This is due to not cutting out the picture properly and not really knowing how to use Photoshop. And the second project (music magazine) looks more professional and more complex, with the colour scheme and fonts help make it all fit together, and suit the theme and this makes it current and modern.
The font i used  for the first project, was Impact. this is plain standard and pretty boring font. so for the the next project i needed a font/theme that would suit the target auidence and make it look current. but the font i used in the second project was ...... this i believe make the magazine look current and suits the target auidence as different and stands out.

This is the layout of my final product music magazine and i believe that this is a simple but effective way to have a layout for a contents page. If you compare this too my final college magazine contents, straight away you can see the difference, the main one would be the colour scheme fits the front page well, this is due to the use of Photoshop. Also the layout is neat and tidy compared to the college magazine, and this is due to the my knowledge and researching of magazines inbetween creating my magazine. Also the layout for my music magazine is very common within magazines but very effective, as is shows the simpilicity but also still does its job well.
